hree middle-aged white women vacation in 1980s Haiti. There, they find younger companions — poor and black. Sex, love, jealousy, and misunderstanding are the key themes, but so is the gulf between rich and poor. Canadian director Laurent Cantet’s idea is good, and so are his actors. Port au Prince is an captivating backdrop. But overall the film is easily forgettable.
