Foligno, IT-PG 6034 Italy 0742.342.602
Great food and wine plus outdoor seating by the façade of the Duomo is Foligno at its best. The Duomo, otherwise known as the Cathedral of San Feliciano (1133-1201), is Romanesque on the outside, 18th-century on the inside. Since the people of Foligno were deeply involved in both Papal States battles and liberation fighting, “Sparafucile” — jargon for “shooter” or “assassin” — is appropriate.
